2026 Washington Truck Driving Championships

Description

The Washington Truck Driving Championships (WATDC) is a competition for professional truck drivers hosted by the Washington Trucking Associations (WTA) and acts as the regional qualification for the National Truck Driving Championships hosted by the American Trucking Associations (ATA). The WATDC competitors are comprised of nine driving classes and feature drivers throughout the state. During the WATDC competition, each driver has a chance to demonstrate their driving and inspection skills, knowledge, and professionalism through a series of tests.

2026 WATDC EVENT SCHEDULE 

6:00 AM – 6:40 AM      DRIVER CHECK-IN/BREAKFAST - LOCATION: HAPO CENTER (DRIVERS ONLY) 

6:45 AM – 7:00 AM      WELCOME & INTRODUCTIONS (ALL DRIVERS MUST REPORT) 

7:00 AM – 8:00 AM      WRITTEN TEST  

8:00 AM – 8:50 AM      SKILLS COURSE & PRE-TRIP INSTRUCTIONS - LOCATION: HAPO CENTER  (ALL SKILLS COURSE JUDGES & STARTERS MUST REPORT)  

9:00 AM                       WASHINGTON STATE PATROL INSPECTOR CHALLENGE START 

9:10 AM – 9:20 AM      SKILLS COURSE WALK - LOCATION: GESA STADIUM PARKING LOT 

9:20 AM – 9:30 AM      WELCOME & NATIONAL ANTHEM 

9:30 AM                       WHEELS ROLL! -  SKILLS & PRE-TRIP INSPECTION COMPETITION 

2:30 PM (ESTIMATED)  DRIVER TRAINER/ MANAGER - SKILLS COURSE ONLY COMPETITIONS 

5:00 PM (ESTIMATED)  AWARD CEREMONY
